Harold Herrera
Founder of Art & Beauty Salon
As many of you know, I was born a hair stylist. Since I was a little boy, my sister Milena was my guinea pig. I loved styling her haircuts, creating different hair styles, and playing her personal hair stylist. Then, after studying for two years to be an electrical engineer in college, I decided to follow my passion. I moved to New York, where my hair stylist journey began. My brother Polo, taught me everything I know about being a hair stylist. He was not only my blood, but my mentor and inspiration to follow my dream. Seven years after living in New York I moved to Houston. In this amazing city; I met Manuel who not only became my husband but, my business partner and as a team we founded Art & Beauty Salon in 2000. Art & Beauty Salon has been the starting point for many successful hair stylists in the Houston area. It’s still home for many others which remain a part of the business. All I have is gratitude for this business, which has allowed me to fulfill my dreams. I thank God for allowing me to be an inspiration for so many and always promise to bring an exceptional service to all of our clients.

I moved from Puerto Rico to Chicago, Illinois 33 years ago. Upon my arrival to the City of Chicago, I started working as a professional stylist. Since that moment, I have followed my dream and after a few years I decided to move to Houston, our beautiful Space City. I am grateful for its welcoming and for the support I have received. As I continue to dedicate myself to my profession as a stylist, I keep up-to-date with all the latest trends and techniques by taking advantage of new training and courses.
I continue to work at Art & Beauty Salon, which I co-founded 21 years ago, to serve our entire community. Here, my commitment is to make you feel and look like a star. We look forward to serving you with all your inquiries!
Arturo
I am a professional stylist from Colombia, with 35 years of experience in the field of beauty in both the USA and Colombia. I started my studies in the field of beauty at the age of 20. I attended the Dyna Beauty Academy in Colombia and achieved several diplomas in the City of Bogotá. There, I specialized in various fields of beauty including color, highlights, extensions, men’s and women’s cuts. In the year 1999 I moved to the USA. This has expanded my work experience from salons in Colombia, such as: Bonsua Beauty Salon, Arena, Blondie. Until now, my experience in Houston inlcudes working at salons such as Swich Hair Salon for 6 years and currently at Art And Beauty for 15+ years. I always strive to provide the best customer service and help clients look and feel their best.
Teresa
I have been in the beauty industry for 15 years. My career began in Chicago, IL where I was able to gain esthetician experience before moving to Houston, Texas and joining Art & Beauty Salon in 2009. I performed many services such as waxing, microdermabrasion, facials, massages, body scrubs, and body wrap. To continue growing I want to go back to school and get my cosmetology license. I am now working towards becoming a hair stylist while also taking care of clients skin treatment needs.I’m excited to provide these dual services for our lovely clients!

I am a professional hair stylist. I have 30 years of experience and I am certified in color, highlights, balayage, women’s, men’s, and children’s cuts. I started as a professional stylist in Colombia and relocated to New York in 2003. I continued my career as a stylist in Long Island, New York until 2019. At that time I moved to Houston, Texas where I now work at Art and Beauty Salon. I am pleased to be part of a great team where we mix the ability to help clients discover and also express their personal style.

My involvement in the world of beauty began when I moved from El Salvador to Houston in 2004. Soon after I started working with Jorge Herrera, widely known in the city of Houston as Polo. He gave me the opportunity to work for him as his assistant and became an inspiration to work on my new found passion for the beauty industry. After hard work I was able to get my degree in cosmetology. I then changed from working with Polo to working with Harold, another member of the Herrera family. I joined the Art & Beauty Salon team and I specialized in multiple techniques of highlights, color, haircuts and hairstyles. Since, I have also continued to take additional courses and training to stay up to date with the latest trends I would be pleased to help you discover your own style, and achieve my commitment of making you feel fabulous!
